    Jet-lag finally wearing off, coming to realize the wonderful trip has come to an end, but dreams of the next one exist.  We like to thank you for all the great arrangements you made for us. Here are some of the highlights we especially enjoyed.
    -The hotel in St. Malo. (L’Hotel Particular Ascott) was so enjoyable with owners Emile and Helen) as our hosts, who made us feel at home.
    -Mont St Micheal was extraordinary with fog early but clearing to brilliant sunshine as if it rose out of the sea.
    -All the hotels were excellent, comfortable, good breakfasts
    -The tapestry at Bayeux.
    -City of Bruge
    -The last minute change, turned out more than a bonus at Lille, as the Aerodrome was having an open public show, with small planes landing, taking off, parachuters etc. The next day at breakfast, they were blowing up their hot air balloons and taking off. What a sight with a dozen in the air at once.
    -The war sights were very moving, especially Vimy and Mein Gate with the last post at night.
    -The train to Basel was very comfortable

    -Now  the Cruise: The ship and crew were outstanding. The ship was only in its second year.  Very modern, clean and sparkling. The crew couldn’t do enough for us.  Meals were excellent , with variety and elegance, choices galore, wine or beer at lunch and dinner . Deserts were too good to pass up at every meal. Tours were good. We would definitely book with Emerald again. Of course there were a few minor hiccups, but that goes with travelling, attempted being pick-pocketed, dropping off the car in Lille. Great itinerary and flights direct.

    Hello Debbie – I wanted to share some very positive feedback.

    • Airport transfers – Dubrovnik, and Athens, twice.  All perfect.  Drivers were all on time, vans were clean and all spoke great English.
    • Hotel in Dubrovnik.  Simple apartment – two rooms with a very small kitchen and living area.  Bathroom was well appointed. There was an issue with the hot water but we called the numbers we had and it got sorted out very quickly.  Not a super fancy place but it was clean and the air conditioning worked.  GREAT location inside the old city walls, ten steps from a street with about ten outdoor restaurants on it.  Check-in was easy – they What’sApp’d me the code for the lock box and we were all good.  I would suggest that you need to have What’sApp in Europe if you are dealing with check-in without reception and the car services. Any time I sent a text to a number, I got a What’sApp back.
    • Hotel in Split:  fantastic apartment. I What’sApp’d the manager and they teed up and early check-in for us which worked out great and even found a place nearby for us to leave our bags prior to check in.  The apartment is beautiful.  Newly renovated with stunning stone walls on two sides.  A fairly good size room(there is no kitchen or anything so really just a hotel room) by European standards, for sure.  Large bathroom with modern shower and comfortable beds.  The location is fantastic as well. About a five minute walk from the port, directly across from the east wall of the old town.  We really liked this place.  Breakfast was at another location just down the street (that is where we stored our bags) and it was really good as well.  There were four other apartments here (I saw one when we checked in – it was bigger than ours with three beds in it but looked the same) and they share a landing and had a woman there sort-of coordinating things, which worked out very well.
    • Colors Hotel, Athens.  Pretty good location.  Not ideal as it is a bit of a hike to The Acropolis but the neighbourhood is good and there are some nice bars and restaurants within five minutes walking.  The room itself was small but well laid out. Comfortable beds and a big bathroom.  Very good air conditioning (built-in ducts that did not blow on anyone’s bed, rather than a unit on the wall), which was a godsend in Athens as it was over forty degrees both days we were there.  The staff at the desk were helpful in booking cabs etc.  Overall a winner but if I were to go Athens again, I would try to stay closer to the Monastiraki metro station/plaza as it is closer to the Acropolis/Placa/markets.

    An Excellent All Inclusive Holiday – Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf and Spa Resort, Las Cabos

    My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful week in Las Cabos, Mexico.  For the past two years we have been housebound and not able to travel.  After receiving both Covid-19 vaccines we saw the opportunity to go away for a week over Christmas and booked this vacation.   We decided that we wanted a direct flight from Vancouver and to be on the Pacific Ocean. A friend recommended a Resort called Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf and Spa Resort. It is an adult facility that we just loved.   Here are a few of the highlights we enjoyed:

    • The property is very clean, the maintenance crew were always working on keeping things maintained and in good working order.
    • Covid precautions were taken and masks were worn.   At first I didn’t realize how much sterilization was happening.   I thought the staff were spraying for bugs, but they were always disinfecting. I called these staff the ghost busters at first, lol.
    • There are three restaurants right on the grounds as well as an excellent steakhouse at the golf course right beside.  Sushi restaurant,  seafood restaurant And a buffet style restaurant.  The champagne brunch on weekends is to die for.  Also, room service was always available.
    • there are 2 beautiful pools that overlook the ocean; one with a great swim up bar. There were always spaces to sit on lounge chairs on the beach as well as at pool. The staff working at the pool are fun, helpful and made sure that everybody was looked after. A great barbeque grill there – tasty drinks, excellent Mexican tacos and the best ceviche.
    • The staff were all friendly, spoke English well, and were very helpful.  The customer service was excellent.
    • The resort is very beautiful and relaxing.   We definitely enjoyed this.
    • there is a beautiful golf course, spa, gym, tennis courts, hiking and biking trails as well as countless activities to take advantage of

    There are several sister properties that we had access to as well.  We did stop by for a drink in town on one of the afternoons which was very convenient.

    We did do a private excursion. We chartered a sailboat to go sailing and snorkeling on one of the afternoons.   Great to see Lover’s Beach and Divorce Beach.  It was nice to be out on the water in a smaller setting.  The fish wildlife are tropical and different from what we see in BC.

    I am always happy when I book a holiday through Debbie, she’s always there to answer my questions. Even this trip, when I was worried that my flight would be cancelled due staff shortages at the airline she figured it out.  Working with a travel agent has its perks.

    We enjoyed every morning minute of this holiday. We would happily recommend it and will return again.

Hello Kate, thank you! And where to begin! I will begin by saying you prepared us so very very well. With all of the different variations of travel etc. everything went pretty seamlessly – other than a 90 min train delay which I think occurs fairly regularly, everything went off without a hitch! And when our train was delayed to Naples our driver waited for us and was awesome! Here is some quick feedback from me:

As mentioned, all the drivers you arranged were on time and reliable. And all the train vouchers worked, we were on time and travelled well.

I’d say the first hotel in Rome we wouldn’t necessarily want to stay at again but we know there was shorty supply and it was central which was awesome. That is the only hotel we didn’t overly like.

Bologna hotel was great as well as the last hotel in Rome and also great were the breakfasts.

We were extremely happy with the decision to stay in Sorrento. A day visit to Positano and Capri were enough for us. The Grotto was closed which we think happens regularly but that was ok because we couldn’t wait to get back to the Maya. The Maya is better in person than in the photos. The rooms and property are modern, clean and pristine. Poolside is fabulous. The property is a good 20 minutes from town which is great in many respects because you really feel you are away at a beautiful resort but people should potentially plan ahead of time to bring a bit of grocery, wine etc because once you are there it is tough to leave – the drive down and back up again is a bit scary and the cost to go into town with the hotel shuttle is 50 euro each way. Once you are on property the food etc is pretty expensive because there are no other options. But what a great stay after the hustle and bustle of travel. Sorrento was the highlight of our trip for me for sure. 

We have two restaurants to recommend if ever your clients ask.  Piccolo Buco in Rome has the best pizza we’ve ever had. They don’t take reservations so you may have to line up for an hour but it is worth it. We went on both days we were in Rome. The other restaurant we reco is Fauno Bar in Sorrento. Excellent food and excellent prices.

Cannot thank you enough for putting together such a fantastic itinerary and in such a short time frame. Now that we have seen some of these iconic places we hadn’t really been to before, I think our next trip to Europe we might be looking forward to some less touristy hidden gems. But we’ll work on that for maybe next year, I hope! Travel bug is here for sure!

Lastly, we will highly recommend your expertise to more friends.

All land connections were amazing, on time (even early) .  The tour guides were also easy to communicate with.  The boat tour guy was incredible and made it really special.   Sienna was great and tour guide was lovely.  The Vatican was crazy and busy and hot.  Only complaint was tour guide was very soft spoken and impossible to hear, but he was a sweet man so more feedback than complaint.

 Hotels were all amazing.  Even though cinque Terre was small the balcony was incredible and I loved it! And Rome we also got a terrace! Staff great and communication top notch.

 So thanks again for helping create a very special experience for my clients.

My husband John and I have recently returned from our dream vacation in Italy. Terri worked with us tirelessly to ensure our trip included all of our must see cities and attractions. Our itinerary took us from Venice to Rome travelling by train stopping and spending time in Milan, Como, Cinque Terre, Florence and Sorrento along the way. Thank you Daniel for the great selections.  The tours were wonderful and helped us cover everything we needed in Barcelona along with our free day on Wednesday. The taxi company was superb.  We had no problem arranging the Friday pickup and they also offered to pick up Jason and Karin at 3:30 am today for their flight to Istanbul and then on to Thailand.

The apartment was in a residential district to the east of the city centre.  There was a Metro station 1/2 block away which was just 3 stops from centre town. Places to eat we’re limited and tended to open at 8:30 pm for dinner; however there was one local bar/restaurant two doors down from the apartment that stayed open from before lunch to late evening. We ate there once and the price was very reasonable (about 9.5 euros each) for a three course meal plus one drink – considerably cheaper than in city centre.  There was also a nice bakery and a good grocery store within a 7 minute walk.

Barcelona has been an interesting place this week after the Catalonia independence referendum last Sunday.  Our taxi driver said that there will be a huge demonstration tomorrow for the pro-Spain side in the downtown area.  I think we will just relax on the ship considering that we have already seen everything that the included tour has to  offer in addition to seeing everything from two of the optional paid excursions.

Yes, we had a fantastic time, thank-you!  Travels went just fine – a few hiccups here and there.  Weather was phenomenal – rained the day we were leaving.  The resort was very good.  Quaint, cozy (small buildings), not too big, friendly staff, great beach.  We went with low expectations about food but turned out to be pretty good (not a lot of vegetarian fare for Lara!).  We took in a couple of day long tours:  Havana and the Jeep Safari.  Havana was good, safari was great!

Most of all, the people in Cuba were warm and genuinely thrilled that we were there.  Felt very comfortable.  Would gladly take our kids through the streets of Havana or the countryside any day.  Fell in love a bit with the country.

Italy was bellissimo! We cannot thank you enough for the trip you planned for us. All the hotels were in locations that allowed us to walk almost everywhere. In Venice, of course, we did enjoy the vaporetto rides and the water taxis. Loved Burano – thanks for the suggestion.
Cinque Terra was everything we were told it would be. Our hotel was a bit further than we thought and since Monterosso is divided into two parts (old & new) we did have to ask for directions. The hotel there was fabulous with our own patio. Managed to walk the trail from Monterosso to Vernazza – would highly recommend it.
We added a day trip to Pisa & Lucca to our stay in Florence and would certainly consider seeing Lucca again.
Loved Siena & the hotel upgraded us to a view – complete with Juliet balcony & complimentary wine. Felt a bit regal for sure.
Although one should see Roma at least once, I think should I return to Italy I will consider it seen & avoid the crowds.
We found the Italians gracious and extremely helpful. Each area we visited was like exploring a different country full of local culture, customs, food and a proud history. All the tours were fabulous – did experience a little information overload on a few days but would not have missed it for the world.
The train travel went off without any delays. Having pre-arranged transportation as well as ‘greeters’ at all but one destination certainly took the pressure & guess work out of travelling.
Have had a lot of people intrigued by our non-tour trip and have given you as a contact should people wish to explore this as an option to a bus trip/cruise/’go it on your own, vacation.
So thanks again for making our Italian Holiday perfect!

Aloha Terri!

Aaron and I just got back today from Maui and wanted you to know that we absolutely loved the Marriot there in Wailea and had a fabulous time!  So  much so that it was soooo hard to come home!  It was a great resort, we loved the amenities  and location as you said it was quieter than the Kaanapali area and you were right….

We did the trek for Sunrise up to Haleakala and the Road to Hana and Iao Needle and the Kai Kanani sail to Molokini Crater for snorkeling and dolphins and whales!  Oh my good ness the list will go on! We travelled and explored Lahaina and other places.  We actually hit a perfect season for the whales, they gave us spectacular shows every day right in front of the infinity pool it was great!  The weather of course was perfect and beautiful sunsets every day!  We have come back relaxed and feel like we really had a great vacation.

We just wanted to give you a big thank you for helping us to get a great deal at this resort and that we believe it was a great choice for us.  MAHALO!  and talk to you again soon about planning a trip for Italy!

    Hi Terri & Debbie,

    We want to thank you for arranging the most amazing holiday in Italy.  The weather was beautiful, the sites were beautiful and the food and wine were delicious!  You planned every detail for us which made the trip so enjoyable… from the hotels to the private transfers to the car rental to the arranging of tours.  It was fascinating to see all of the structures and history of Rome.  It was also our favourite place for fresh pasta!  We also found a quaint roof top patio overlooking the Trevi Fountain and away from the crowds…a hidden gem we think!  And the Isle of Capri has got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth!  Our accommodations there were also prime.  The pool and front desk services were exceptional. You encouraged us to go the Cinque Terre and we are so happy we listened. We had gorgeous weather for hiking, relaxing on the beach, and for kayaking on the Mediterranean! Loved our accommodations there as well.  We managed to make it to the Tower of Pisa and have our photo taken just before we picked up the car.   The “barn” cottage at the Torre Cona Winery Estate we stayed at in Tuscany was just wonderful and Marianna was so helpful and welcoming. We completely understand why its your “go to” spot in Tuscany! The cooking class we did with Paolo in Tuscany was so much fun!  He’s a real character! We had a great group of people – in fact there was another couple from Kelowna in our class!  Florence was also beautiful to see and a nice place to end our trip.  Again the accommodations and hotel staff were excellent – we loved the rooftop patio/restaurant.  So nice to have breakfast there and late night drinks with the panoramic view of Florence.

    All of the advice you gave us ahead of time was very helpful as well.

    We have been home now for a few days and getting over the jet lag!
    Pat and I would like to thank you for all the planning and organization that went into our trip.  We had a wonderful time, loved all the accommodations, breakfasts, and most of the tours.  We especially enjoyed the All day Tuscany Tour!  The guides are very well educated and informative.  Our train travel and taxis also went incredibly well with directions to and from very clear.  We would recommend your company to anyone!

    Hi Terri.  I am writing to let you know that our Italy trip was fantastic. Both Hotels were great, and both served excellent breakfast. The hotel Melini is in a great location, we walked everywhere, including to the Colosseum.Our room at the carnival palace was on the third floor overlooking the canal, which was really nice.The Vatican Museum was of course mobbed , but our tour guide was excellent. Thanks for your help and I hope to schedule a longer trip with you sometime soon. And I would add that the staff at both hotels was top notch, and that the extra money spent for the upgraded train ticket was well worth it.

    Please let Daniel know the clients loved the property in Hotel Vial vita Parc in the Algarve. The driver was late and they had to call when they landed but all worked out someone at the airport called the number for them and the driver and owner showed up within 15 minutes. They said they went above board in service to make up for their late pick up.
