  Day 2 – Lima City Tour & Flight to Cusco After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Lima, one of the largest and most beautiful cities in Peru and Latin America.  Founded in 1535 by the Spanish conquistadors, Lima served as the center of Spanish colonial power in South America. Originally known as the “City of Kings,” it flourished as a hub of wealth and influence, featuring magnificent cathedrals, elegant colonial mansions, and the Viceroy’s Palace. Free time follows the city tour.
  Afternoon Transfer to Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco.  Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be met by your local representative and transferred to Hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. Overnight: Cusco  Meals Included: Breakfast

  Day 3 – Cusco City Tour After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Cusco, located more than 3,000 meters (9,840 feet) above sea level. Once the capital of the Inca Empire, Cusco is considered the archaeological and historical heart of South America. According to legend, the city was founded by the first Inca ruler, Manco Cápac, who arrived from the shores of Lake Titicaca.   Day 5 – Machu Picchu Excursion After breakfast, meet your English-speaking guide and transfer to the train station. Board the train for a scenic journey through the Andes to Aguas Calientes. Machu Picchu Guided Tour Discover the legendary Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, built during the reign of Emperor Pachacuti as a royal sanctuary.   Day 6 – Cusco to Puno Transfer to the bus station for your scenic tourist coach journey to Puno. En Route Highlights Andahuaylilla, Raqch’i Archaeological Site. Lunch: Buffet lunch in Sicuani.  Continue through the Andes with stops at:

  • La Raya Pass 4,400 m / 14,435 ft), the highest point of the journey

With luck, you’ll observe the majestic Andean condor, one of the world’s largest flying birds and an iconic symbol of the Andes. Return to the hotel to collect your luggage. Free time for lunch.   Day 10 – Arequipa to Nazca – Morning guided tour of Arequipa, known as the “White City.”
