Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Lima – Upon landing at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, a representative and transfer service will escort you to your chosen hotel. The afternoon is yours to unwind or explore at your leisure.

Day 2 Lima  – A guide will collect you from your hotel for a shared tour of Lima’s Historic Center. Begin at the Aliaga House, a colonial gem with over 500 years of history, known as the oldest residence in the Americas. Next, visit the UNESCO-listed Plaza Mayor, home to the grand Lima Cathedral. Conclude at the Larco Museum in Pueblo Libre, showcasing an extensive collection of pre-Hispanic gold, silver, and unique erotic art, offering a deep dive into over 5,000 years of Peruvian heritage.

Day 3 LimaArequipa – An English-speaking driver will transfer you from your hotel to Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport for your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, a representative and transfer service will greet you and take you to your hotel. Later, a guide will pick you up for a shared tour, starting at the Carmen Alto viewpoint for stunning views of the Chili River and Misti and Chanchani volcanoes. Continue to Yanahuara viewpoint to admire Arequipa’s iconic white sillar stone architecture. Visit the vibrant Plaza de Armas, then explore the historic Santa Catalina Monastery, known for its charming plazas, cloisters, and streets.

Day 4 Arequipa – Colca Canyon – In the morning, a driver will collect you from your hotel for the journey to Chivay, traveling through the Aguada Blanca National Reserve in Pampa Cañahuas to spot wild vicuñas. Stop briefly at Patahuasi for local herbal teas and restrooms. The route continues via Viscachani and Toccra wetlands, home to alpacas, vicuñas, and migratory birds. At Patapampa (4,910 m.a.s.l.), marvel at the volcanic Andes Lookout before descending to Chivay (3,635 m.a.s.l.) around midday. After lunch, transfer to your hotel, with the afternoon free to relax or explore independently. Lunch included.

Day 5 Colca Canyon – Puno – Early morning pickup for a shared tour to Yanque’s main square, followed by a visit to Condor’s Cross, a prime spot to view the expansive Colca Canyon and the Andean condor’s flight. Stop at various lookouts en route to Maca, then enjoy lunch in Chivay. Afterward, embark on a 5.5-hour journey to Puno, pausing at Patahuasi for services and Lagunillas viewpoint to observe flamingos and other migratory birds. Arrive in Puno and transfer to your hotel. Lunch included.

Day 6 Puno – Discover Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake, in Puno. A shared tour begins with a transfer to Puno’s port, where a boat takes you to the Uros Islands, remarkable floating islands crafted from totora reeds by the Uros people. After a 1.5-hour visit, sail to Taquile Island, celebrated for its rich cultural traditions. Enjoy an informative session and a traditional lunch before returning to Puno. Lunch included.

Day 7 Puno – Cusco – Embark on a scenic journey to Cusco, the Inca Empire’s heart, through breathtaking Andean landscapes. Stop at Pucará’s archaeological site (200 B.C.–300 A.D.), then pause at La Raya, the route’s highest point at 4,313 meters, for lunch. Visit Raqchi’s Temple of Wiracocha and Andahuaylillas, home to a church dubbed the “Sistine Chapel of America” for its stunning artworks. Arrive in Cusco and check into your hotel with assistance. Lunch included.

Day 8 Cusco – Sacred Valley – A shared tour begins with a morning pickup to Chinchero, where you’ll explore its 17th-century church atop an Inca palace and impressive agricultural terraces. Admire the Sacred Valley’s beauty from a viewpoint, then visit the Yucay Living Museum to see traditional Inca textile, pottery, and silverwork techniques. Enjoy a traditional lunch, followed by a visit to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, a ceremonial site with striking terraces. Return to your hotel. The Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC), included, grants access to 16 attractions, including Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and Sacred Valley sites like Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Moray, and Chinchero. Day 9 Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco – A shared transfer takes you from your Urubamba hotel to Ollantaytambo train station. Board the Inca Rail Voyager train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), a 1.5-hour journey with ambient music and an Ollantay performance (on the outbound trip). Upon arrival, receive assistance. A 25-minute bus ride takes you to Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders, built as a sanctuary for Inca ruler Pachacutec. Explore the citadel’s remarkable architecture, then enjoy a set lunch at Café Inkaterra, blending Andean and contemporary flavors with Vilcanota River views. Return by bus to Aguas Calientes, then take the 360° train (with live music and USB charging) back to Ollantaytambo. A shared transfer takes you to your Cusco hotel. Lunch included.

Day 10 Cusco City Tour – Join a shared tour of Cusco, the Inca capital, starting at the Coricancha temple within the Santo Domingo Convent. Visit the Cathedral Basilica of the Virgin of the Assumption, then explore the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Qenqo archaeological complex, Puca Pucara military ruins, and Tambomachay, known as the Inca spa. Return to your hotel.

Day 11 Cusco Departure – A representative and transfer service will take you from your hotel to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco for your flight to Lima.
