Day 1: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro. Your journey begins as you land in Rio de Janeiro. If you arrive before dawn, then on the way from the airport you will see green hills, rocky mountains, palm trees on both sides of the road and beautiful bays. At nightfall, the city is surrounded by a shimmering necklace – these are the lights of the favelas! A private transfer brings you to your coastal hotel, passing beneath the glowing hillsides of the local neighborhoods as night falls. Quench your thirst with fresh coconut water right on the famous sands of Copacabana or Ipanema as you settle into one of the world’s most vibrant tropical cities.
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro Breakfast. Meeting in the hotel lobby with a guide Excursion to Mount Corcovado to the statue of Christ (4 hours) with an English-speaking guide. Arrival at the station, from where we take a special open eco-friendly train through the jungle to the top of the Corcovado hill. On both sides of the road, there are breathtaking views of the Tijuca forest. At the top of the Corcovado hill, at an altitude of 710 m above sea level, rises the symbol of Rio – the statue of Christ the Redeemer (38 m), which was erected in 1931. the bridge in Niterói, Guanabara Bay, the Botanical Garden, the world’s largest stadium Maracanã, Sugarloaf and much more.
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro City Tour and Sugarloaf Tour (4h) with an English-speaking guide. We go to Praia Vermelha (red beach). From there you will take a special cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. The first stop will be on Mount Urca, which has a wide viewpoint. On Sugarloaf Mountain there is a smaller platform, it offers a beautiful view of Rio, Copacabana Beach, the bay, the surrounding mountains, islands in the ocean, the bridge to the city of Niterói, a statue of Christ. Then you will go to the central districts of old Rio, where you will admire several ancient churches, monasteries, the main Cathedral of the city, as well as buildings built in the colonial style.
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro – Foz de Iguazu Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Foz de Iguazu. Upon arrival, meeting at the airport with the driver, transfer to the hotel.
Day 5 : Foz de Iguazu Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of the Brazilian side of the waterfalls with an English-speaking guide. The Iguazu Falls, located on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, are 275 huge water streams falling from a height of 60 to 80 meters. The waterfalls are located on the territory of a national park with unique flora and fauna, which arose as a result of a volcanic eruption and the displacement of the earth’s strata. The name of the waterfalls means “big water” in Guarani. Each waterfall has its own name, all of them crash into the Devil’s Throat Gorge. The contrast between the calm and even lazy flow of the waters of the Iguazu River above the waterfalls and the powerful throwing of bubbling streams of water from a height of 72 meters into the abyss is amazing. You can stand for hours without looking up, contemplating this spectacle and thinking about the splendor and eternity of our universe. For additional cost you can also book a visit to the Bird Park (USD 50 P/P). It is located near the Iguazu National Park. You will enter huge aviaries, in which amazing, fabulous birds of outlandish colors freely fly or walk among the rainforest. Additionally, you can book a “Makuko Safari” trip (USD 130 P/P). You will drive through the jungle in the open body of a jeep for about 3 kilometers, accompanied by a guide who will tell you a lot of interesting things about the ecology of the region. Then you will go on foot to the bank of the Igussu River, from where you will sail close to the waterfalls by motorboat. Splashes and rainbows, a sea of delight and unique photos await you.
Day 6: Foz de Iguazu Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of the Argentine side of the waterfalls with an English-speaking guide You will get to the Argentine side of the waterfalls through the Tancredo Neves Bridge, built over the Iguazu River. The Argentine side is different from the Brazilian side – here you will be directly above and below the waterfalls. You will feel the power of the falling water and will be able to enjoy the natural park around this magnificent beauty! Numerous paths and passages created by human hands are striking, allowing you to observe this natural phenomenon from a very close distance. After the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the airport and fly to Buenos Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires. Transfer with driver from the airport to the hotel.
Day 7: Buenos Aires Morning & Afternoon: Buenos Aires City Tour ( 3 Hours) After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a guided three-hour city tour exploring the history, art, and architecture of Argentina’s sophisticated capital. You will visit the historic heart of the city at Plaza de Mayo, featuring the iconic Casa Rosada and the towering 67-meter Obelisco. Day8: Buenos Aires-Santiago de Chile Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Buenos Aires Airport for your flight to Santiago. Upon arrival, you will be met by a driver who will take you to the hotel.
Day 9: Santiago de Chile Breakfast at the hotel.
A sightseeing tour with an English-speaking guide around the city awaits you. The tour begins in the city center with a visit to the square of the government building of La Moneda, recognized as a historical monument, it was erected in 1799, in the last years of Spanish domination, in order to house the royal mint, and is made in the traditional neoclassical style. In the middle of the XIX century, the building was allocated to the government of Chile, since then the Palacio de la Moneda has been the seat of the government of the country Santiago. It was with her that the history of the city began. The square houses the buildings of the House of Governors of Chile, the Municipality of Santiago, the General Post Office, the Royal Audience building and the Cathedral. Then you will climb the Santa Lucia hill, from where you can enjoy a magnificent panorama of the entire city. Day 11: (Bolivia) Jeep tour. From there we will head to the Bolivian border and start the 4×4 jeep tour. Landscapes of indescribable beauty are all around – this is the Laguna Verde and the panoramic view of the Licancabur volcano. You will pass the Dalí Valley with monumental stone sculptures, the thermal springs of Polques, admire the active geysers of Sol de Manana. The release of thermal mud takes place before your eyes. The next stop is Lake Laguna Colorada – a red lake that is located at an altitude of 4400 m above sea level in Bolivia. It is home to a rare species of flamingo, James’ flamingos, which come to this lake in search of a special type of plankton, which is present here in huge quantities.
Overnight in an expedition-style desert hotel. *Uyuni is located at an altitude of more than 4000 meters, altitude sickness is possibleDay12: Uyuni (Bolivia) Jeep Tour in Salt Flats – La Paz Breakfast.Travel towards the smaller, but no less beautiful lagoons – Onda, Jjar Cota, Hedonda, Kanapa with a stop at the Volkan Olague viewpoint. The volcano is still active and smoke is smoking from the crater of the volcano – a very majestic sight. Next, your path lies to the Chiguana salt flats, which are known for their large reserves of sodium and potassium nitrate, which makes these salt flats especially unique. Finally, you will visit the largest dried salt lake on Earth, Solar de Uyuni. The lake is located in the southern part of Bolivia on a high-altitude plateau at an altitude of 3650 m. Its total area is about 11 thousand square kilometers. Salt reserves here are about 10 billion tons.During the rainy season, the lake fills with a small layer of water and turns into the world’s largest mirror. On the way to the Great Salt Valley of Uyuni, you will see how salt is mined and processed in the town of Kolchani. After that, you will visit a place called “Eyes of Water”, where you can see the geological formations of the local landscape, and you can also observe the process of processing salt. Further on Pisces Island, you will see some giant cacti, and you can also enjoy the view of the salt valley. Lunch (lunch box) included. At the end of the tour, transfer to Uyuni.
Day13: Uyuni – La Paz Transfer to the airport. Flight to La Paz (the capital of Bolivia) Meeting and transfer to the hotel with a driver. In the afternoon, you will have a sightseeing tour of the city with a visit to the sorcerers’ market and historical sites (4 hours). Then an excursion to the Valley of the Moon, a unique place near La Paz, reminiscent of the lunar relief, thanks to the unique formations of salt, sand and stone, formed over thousands of years under the influence of water and wind.
Day 14: La Paz – Tiwanaku Breakfast at the hotel. We go to the Peruvian border, where the famous Lake Titicaca is located. On the way, we will visit the majestic ruins of Tiwanaku (1,580 +1,000 AD) – this is all that remains of the Tiwanaku civilization – one of the oldest civilizations in South America. You will see the Gate of the Sun, the Kalasasaya Temple and the pyramids, beautiful monuments of the glorious past of the Tiwanaku culture. The Tiwanakans were skilled in agriculture, hydraulics, architecture and medicine, as well as social organization. Due to natural disasters, including long periods of drought, the Tiwanaku civilization collapsed at the end of the first millennium AD and mysteriously disappeared. In the afternoon drive to the Uros Islands (with an English-speaking guide) built of reeds. The Aymara Indians live here. They have preserved the traditional way of life, customs, beliefs and national costumes.
Day 15: Puno – Cusco Breakfast at the hotel. Next, we go to the bus station for a group transfer to Cusco on a special tourist bus. Along the way, stops: Andaguaillas – the Sistine Chapel of South America, Rakchi – an administrative building of the Incas. Lunch in the town of Sikuani. The next stops are La Raya (4400 meters above sea level) – a roadside market with beautiful mountains in the background, Pucara – the center of the pre-Inca culture of the same name. In the evening, arrive in Cusco at the bus station. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 16: Cusco Machu Picchu Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day excursion to Machu Picchu – the “lost city of the Incas” in a group with an English-speaking guide. The most enlightened priests went to Machu Picchu after the fall of the Inca Empire, the Spaniards could not find this city. Machu Picchu was built of huge limestone blocks without the use of cementing mortar on the top of a mountain, surrounded by impenetrable jungle. It was discovered by the American archaeologist Iram Bingham only in 1911. Dinner. Return to Cusco by train. Arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Day 17: Cusco Breakfast at the hotel. On this day you will have a tour of the city of Cusco with an English-speaking guide with a visit to the “Coricancha” (Temple of the Sun). It was here that the Incas held their main ritual festival – the day of the winter solstice. Then visit the four nearby ruins: the Temple of Kenko, the red fortress of Puca Pucara, Tambomachai (the center of Inca worship of water) and the architectural complex of Sacsaihuaman (religious buildings, fortress, towers and canals built of huge boulders.The route ends at Sacsayhuaman, a fortress with towers, channels, and religious structures built from enormous stone blocks. After the excursion, transfer to the airport for the flight to Lima. On arrival you are met and taken to the hotel.
Day 18: Lima Breakfast at the hotel. You will have a sightseeing tour of the city with an English-speaking guide. The tour will start from the Park of Love, located in Miraflores, which offers a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. Then you will pass by the Doíno administrative and religious center of Huaca Huallamarca. Continue the tour at the main square, where the Presidential Palace and the City Hall are located. Visit the Cathedral (or if the cathedral is closed – Art Museum of Lima – MALI) and walk to the Monastery of Santo Domingo, through the narrow streets of which Saint Martin de Porres and Saint Rosa of Lima walked in the 17th century. At the end of the tour, transfer to the airport.
