Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Guayaquil – Upon arrival at Guayaquil’s airport, you’ll be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Travel time to downtown is approximately 25 minutes. If time permits, consider joining an optional panoramic city tour to discover the highlights of Guayaquil.
Day 2 – Santa Cruz Island – Highlands Reserve & Charles Darwin Research Station – Transfer to the airport for your flight to the Galápagos Islands. Upon arrival, travel to the Itabaca Channel (15 minutes) and cross by ferry (20 minutes) to Santa Cruz Island. Visit an ecological reserve in the highlands—either Cerro Mesa or El Chato—where you’ll observe giant tortoises and native flora. After the visit, continue to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island.
Day 3 – Santa Cruz Island – Boat Excursion to Nearby Island – Set off on a full-day boat excursion to one of the nearby Galápagos Islands, depending on availability: Isabela, San Cristóbal, Bartolomé, Plazas, North Seymour, or Santa Fe. Discover diverse wildlife and stunning natural scenery before returning to Puerto Ayora.
Day 4 – Santa Cruz Island – Bay Tour & Charles Darwin Research Station – Begin the day with a guided bay tour. Visit La Lobería to swim and snorkel with sea lions, then continue through the Canal del Amor, Shark Channel, Las Grietas, and Playa de los Perros—home to reef sharks, iguanas, rays, and blue-footed boobies. In the afternoon, tour the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about conservation work and species evolution.
Day 5 – Return to Guayaquil – Depart from your hotel in Puerto Ayora and transfer to Baltra Airport for your return flight to mainland Ecuador.
