Day 1: Rio de Janeiro Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or begin exploring this vibrant city at your own pace. Whether you choose to stroll along the famous beaches, sip fresh coconut water beneath swaying palm trees, or soak up the lively samba atmosphere, Rio offers something for every traveler. Known for its lush green mountains, stunning bays, islands, and world-renowned beaches, Rio de Janeiro is Brazil’s second-largest city and one of the world’s most spectacular destinations. The iconic beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon are lined with the city’s distinctive black-and-white mosaic promenades, where locals and visitors gather throughout the day to play beach volleyball, football, and enjoy the seaside atmosphere. Day 2: Sugarloaf Mountain & Rio City Tour After breakfast, enjoy a half-day guided tour of Rio de Janeiro, beginning with a visit to the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain. Travel by cable car to Urca Hill before continuing to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Copacabana Beach, Guanabara Bay, the surrounding mountains, nearby islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, and Christ the Redeemer in the distance. The tour continues through Rio’s historic city center, where you’ll discover colonial-era architecture, historic churches, monasteries, and the city’s impressive cathedral. Along the way, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and experience the flavors of traditional Brazilian cuisine. Overnight: Rio de Janeiro
Day 3: Corcovado & Christ the Redeemer After breakfast, depart for one of Rio’s most famous attractions—Corcovado Mountain and the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue. Board the scenic cogwheel train, which travels through the lush Tijuca National Forest, one of the world’s largest urban rainforests. Keep an eye out for native wildlife, including monkeys and colorful tropical birds, as you ascend the mountain. At the summit, approximately 700 metres above sea level, stands the 38-metre-tall Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. From this spectacular viewpoint, enjoy sweeping views of Rio de Janeiro, including Guanabara Bay, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, the Botanical Garden, Maracanã Stadium, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the city’s famous coastline. Day 4: Free Day in Rio de Janeiro After breakfast your have a totally free day for you to explore Rio de Janeiro at your leisure. Relax on one of the city’s famous beaches, visit local markets and museums, or discover neighbourhoods such as Santa Teresa and Lapa. Alternatively, you may choose from a range of optional excursions and activities available locally. Overnight: Rio de Janeiro
Day 5: Rio de Janeiro – Foz do Iguaçu After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Foz do Iguaçu. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional excursion to the Argentine side of the magnificent Iguazú Falls. Cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguazú River and experience the falls from a unique perspective. Walking along scenic trails and viewing platforms, you’ll find yourself remarkably close to the cascading waters, with breathtaking views of the spectacular Devil’s Throat. The Argentine side offers an immersive experience, allowing you to appreciate both the immense power of the falls and the surrounding subtropical rainforest. Overnight: Foz do Iguaçu
Day 6: Brazilian Side of Iguazú Falls, Macuco Safari & Bird Park After breakfast, explore the Brazilian side of the awe-inspiring Iguazú Falls, one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Located on the borders of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, the falls consist of approximately 275 individual cascades surrounded by the lush rainforest of Iguaçu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Follow the panoramic walkways that provide spectacular views of the waterfalls, including the dramatic Devil’s Throat, where enormous volumes of water plunge into the canyon below. The contrast between the tranquil river above and the thunderous falls creates an unforgettable spectacle. Your adventure continues with the exciting Macuco Safari. Travel through the rainforest in an open-air vehicle while your guide introduces you to the region’s unique flora and fauna. A short walk leads to the river, where you’ll board a motorboat for an exhilarating ride that takes you close to the base of the falls. Later, visit the Bird Park, located near the entrance to Iguaçu National Park. Walk through spacious aviaries and encounter colourful tropical birds, including toucans, macaws, flamingos, and many other native species in beautifully landscaped surroundings. Day 7: Foz do Iguaçu – Rio de Janeiro – Búzios After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, continue by private transfer to the beautiful seaside resort of Búzios.The remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this charming coastal destination. Overnight: Búzios
