Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Salta After arriving in Salta, you’ll head to your hotel in the city center to settle in. Later in the afternoon, your guide takes you through the historic quarter where you’ll see Salta Cathedral and San Francisco Church, then spend some time at Plaza 9 de Julio. Before the day ends, you’ll ride the cable car up Cerro San Bernardo for views across the whole city.

Day 2: Salta Cafayate You’re spending the full day driving through the Calchaqu\u00ed Valleys toward Cafayate, stopping at two wineries to taste Torront\u00e9s wine and learn how they make it locally. After that, you’ll check out the Wine Museum and then wander around Cafayate’s colonial streets and artisan shops. By evening, you’ll head back to Salta.

Day 3: Salta Humahuaca This full-day trip takes you through Jujuy Province into the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll stop at Purmamarca’s colorful Hill of Seven Colors, see Maimar’s Paleta del Pintor mountain range, walk through Tilcara’s pre-Hispanic Pucar\u00e1 fortress, and visit Uqu\u00eda’s 17th-century chapel with its gilded altarpiece. The route ends in Humahuaca at 2,940 meters elevation, then you return to Salta later that evening.

Day 4: Salta Departure. After breakfast depart to Salta airport  for your departure.
