Day 1 – SALTA – Arrival at the airport and pick up of the rental car. After completing the necessary procedures, drive a short distance into the city of Salta. Park and explore the city’s colonial streets and historic churches.
Day 2 – SALTA / PURMAMARCA – Early departure through the spectacular Del Toro Gorge, arriving in San Antonio de los Cobres. Optional: ride the famous Train to the Clouds. Continue into Jujuy province to visit the Salinas Grandes Salt Flats, then descend the Cuesta de Lipán to reach Purmamarca. (B)
Day 3 – PURMAMARCA / SALTA – Explore the stunning Humahuaca Gorge, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Adventurous travelers can drive up to El Hornocal, the Hill of 14 Colors. Return to Salta in the afternoon. (B)
Day 4 – SALTA / MOLINOS – Journey through the Calchaquí Valleys via Cuesta del Obispo, the Tin Tin Straight, and Los Cardones National Park. Stop for lunch (not included) and a walk in the town of Cachi before continuing to Molinos. (B)
Day 5 – MOLINOS / CAFAYATE – Travel along Route 40 through the dramatic Quebrada de las Flechas, a spectacular landscape carved by wind and water. Continue on to Cafayate, where vineyards await. (B)
Day 6 – CAFAYATE / SALTA – Return to Salta via the Quebrada de las Conchas, known for its surreal rock formations like the Amphitheatre and Devil’s Throat. Arrive in Salta and check in. (B)
Day 7 – SALTA – End of the journey. Allow ample time to return the rental car at the airport before your flight. (B)
