Day 1: Lisbon
Arrive Lisbon, exit baggage area and meet driver. Transfer to hotel. After check-in, time to explore Lisbon historical centre. Lisbon is a special city with unique features: Sounds of the old electric trams going up and down the cobblestone streets, the echo of Fado in various places in the city, a treasure of historic buildings, but also the coolest city of Portugal, open to new trends and also a shopping paradise. Unique and unforgettable experiences, for those who prefer the city and history, for those who seek Nature and travel with all the senses. This is a rich, diverse, inviting route. Overnight LisbonDay 2: Lisbon
After Breakfast time to discover more of Lisbon. Suggest visiting the following sites:
Quarter Belem, Belem Tower (16th century), Monastery of Jerónimos (16th century), Monument of Discoveries (20th century), Traditional Milk Custard Tarts of Belém “Pastéis de Belém” (19th century). Belém is known as the historic district of the Age of Discovery. It was from its waterfront that Vasco da Gama and other explorers departed for their voyages, events celebrated today by grand monuments and museums in the neighborhood.
The sensational architecture of the Tower of Belém and Jerónimos Monastery (both World Heritage Sites). These monuments are adorned and embellished with motifs of exotic lands elaborately carved in stone, as are the heroes of the age on the colossal Discoveries. Monastery of Jeronimos. Built in the 16th century, an impressive example of Manueline architecture. The sheer magnificence of the building reflects the universal vision of its founder and the scale of the wealth available to the Crown. This was the starting point of the Portuguese discoveries.
Overnight LisbonDay 3: Evora, Capital of Altentejo (Unesco Site) – Distance Between Lisbon to Évora – 140 km
After breakfast depart for Evora. A walled city classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city, with its narrow streets of Moorish origin contrasting with squares full of light. Évora was conquered by the Romans in 59 BC, named as “Liberalitas Julia”.
Visit the following monuments: Historic center with medieval white streets, Royal Palace (exterior only),Ciy Garden, St. Francis Church and Chapel of Bones, Geraldo.

After breakfast continue your journey. You cannot afford to miss paying a visit to the westernmost point on the European mainland, the headland of Cabo Da Roca is the westernmost point on the European mainland. Situated close to sea and traditionally a fishing village, Cascais a fashionable summer resort. Sintra a town of palaces, landscapes, culture, and art and historical centre traditional narrow streets full of flowers and local craft shops.
Overnight ObidosDay 5: Obidos, Nazare, Alcobaca, Batalha – Distance Between Óbidos to Nazaré – 41 kms – Between Nazaré to Alcobaça – 12 kms – Between Alcobaça to Batalha – 20 kms
Today travel to Obidos a charming and picturesque medieval hilltop village, with white washed houses decorated with flowers. Sao Martinho Do Porto and time to relax at the beach. The calm sea represents the perfect conditions for nautical sports such as windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. Nazare is blessed with magnificent light, pleasing sun, fine white sand and hospitable locals. The lovely cove is protected by high cliffs, atop which the Sítio da Nazaré offers a memorable view. Alcobaca visit the Monastery or Royal Abbey of Santa Maria, founded by the Order of Cistercians in 1153.

Start your day with visiting Fatima. Due to the apparitions the local town has developed to receive more than 4 millions of travellers. Coimbra beautiful city of offers plenty of charm in its academic streets, narrow, with small courtyards, arches and floral eaves, cafes, galleries and bookstores. Walking tour in its historic center, as this is the best way to explore the old town. Next stop will be in Aveiro, the Portuguese “little Venice”, as it is known this enchanted village. Next to the sea and the Ria (estuary), is crossed by a network of channels through which “Moliceiros” (local boats) meander. An easy walk walk through this town as it is quite flat and to be noted a number of buildings in Art Nouveau style that are worth seeing.

Porto the capital and and gateway to the north of Portugal, Porto is both the city that provided a nation with a name and a fortified wine known world-wide: Take time to visit one or two of the Port Wine Old Cellars with a special tasting of these wines . Your walk about about admire the typical granite houses and monuments. The main square of Av. Aliados, the highest tower in the city of Clerigos, the world famous bookstore Livraria Lello, the Ultramodern Casa da Música building, the Atlantic fortress of Castelo do Queijo, the old Cathedral, the Palácio da Bolsa (Chamber of Commerce), Ribeira (Riverside), A nice way to end your day is take a shot 50 minute cruise under the city’s six bridges.
Overnight PortoDay 8: Guimares, Amarante, Douro Valley – Distance Between Porto to Guimarães – 60 kms – Between Guimarães to Amarante – 50 kms ) = Between Amarante to Régua – 30 kms
Guimaraes the «cradle of the Portuguese nation», whose historical center is classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. Explore the historic city center, the Castle and the Ducal Palace. Amarante. visitors to Amarante will be impressed by two imposing natural features: the great Serra do Marão rising above the city in a series of majestic landscapes and the River Tâmega, the longest tributary of the river Douro, begins in Galicia and which flows through the heart of Amarante. Amarante’s sweets and cakes are extremely famous and easy to find in many of the region’s cake-shops and cafés. We suggest taking lunch here. Continue towards the great Douro Valley passing through some small hilltop villages, breathtaking landscapes and going down towards the Douro River, where the vines grow on the terraces over the banks lending great beauty to the landscape dotted with large estates and manor houses. Douro Valley has the honor which in recent decades have acquired great notoriety and border projection thanks to their quality, both in the reds as the whites and rosés wines. Green in summer, fire color in autumn, the Vineyard has given rise to a unique landscape classified by Unesco.
