    Day 1 – Bari

    Arrival in Bari. Check-in at the hotel.

    Overnight: Bari


    Day 2 – Bari

    After breakfast, meet your tour guide at the hotel and set off to discover Bari. Visit the historic center, “Bari Vecchia,” and learn about the city’s history and main monuments. Walk through narrow alleys and small squares within the old city walls.

    Highlights include:

    • Basilica of Saint Nicholas
    • Castello Svevo (Swabian Castle)
    • Piazza Mercantile
    • Piazza Ferrarese
    • Piazza del Sedile
    • Basilica di San Sabino

    Afternoon at leisure.

    Overnight: Bari


    Day 3 – Bari • Trani • Andria (Masseria) • Castel del Monte • Bari

    After breakfast, visit Trani, a major medieval center of Imperial Apulia. Highlights include the Jewish quarter (Giudecca) and the Romanesque cathedral by the sea.

    Continue to Andria for lunch and wine tasting at a traditional masseria  On the return to Bari, stop at Castel del Monte, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Frederick II. Known for its unique octagonal geometric design and historical mystery.  Return to Bari.

    Overnight: Bari


    Day 4 – Bari • Alberobello • Matera • Bari

    After breakfast, visit Alberobello, the UNESCO-listed “City of Trulli.” These traditional stone dwellings with conical roofs are known locally as casedde.  Continue to Matera, the “City of the Stones,” a UNESCO World Heritage Site and European Capital of Culture 2019.

    Explore the famous Sassi di Matera, ancient cave dwellings carved into rock and connected by narrow alleys.  Return to Bari.

    Overnight: Bari


    Day 5 – Bari • Polignano a Mare • Ostuni • Lecce

    After breakfast, depart for Polignano a Mare, a coastal town built on dramatic cliffs and the birthplace of singer Domenico Modugno.  Continue to Ostuni, the “White City,” known for its whitewashed historic center, medieval streets, and olive oil production.

    Free time to explore and enjoy local specialties.  Transfer to Lecce.

    Overnight: Lecce


    Day 6 – Lecce

    After breakfast, meet your guide for a walking tour of Lecce, known as the “Florence of the South.”

    Highlights include:

    • Basilica di Santa Croce
    • Cathedral of Lecce (Maria Santissima Assunta)
    • Palazzo dei Celestini
    • Piazza Sant’Oronzo
    • Roman Amphitheatre
    • Church of Santa Chiara

    Afternoon at leisure.

    Overnight: Lecce


    Day 7 – Lecce • Otranto • Santa Cesarea Terme • Santa Maria di Leuca • Lecce

    After breakfast, depart for Otranto, a coastal town shaped by Greek, Roman, and Turkish influences.  Continue along the coast with stops in Santa Cesarea Terme and Castro Marina.

    Visit Santa Maria di Leuca, known for its lighthouse and the Sanctuary De Finibus Terrae, marking the meeting point of the Adriatic and Ionian seas.

    Return to Lecce.

    Overnight: Lecce


    Day 8 – Lecce • Galatina • Masseria L’Ulivo • Gallipoli • Lecce

    After breakfast, visit Galatina, known for its Baroque architecture and traditions linked to the tarantismo and pizzica folk dances.  Continue to Masseria L’Ulivo for lunch.

    In the afternoon, visit Gallipoli, a coastal town of Greek origin surrounded by medieval walls and connected to the mainland by a bridge.

    Return to Lecce.

    Overnight: Lecce


    Day 9 – Lecce

    After breakfast, transfer to Brindisi Airport or port.
