Day 1: Rome (Overnight) Arrive at Rome Airport, pick up your rental car, and drive into the city. Enjoy a free afternoon and evening exploring the Eternal City at your own pace. Overnight in Rome.
Day 2: Rome (Overnight) After breakfast, enjoy a free day to discover Rome’s highlights on your own. Suggested sights include the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and Castel Sant’Angelo. Overnight in Rome.
Day 3: (Rome Overnight) Following breakfast, spend the day exploring the magnificent Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s famous ceiling and The Last Judgment. Overnight in Rome.
Day 4: Rome Florence Drive To Montecatini Terme After breakfast, drive 325 km north to Montecatini Terme, stopping in Florence along the way. Explore the city’s key landmarks, including Santa Croce, the Palazzo Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery, before settling in Montecatini Terme for the night.
Day 5: Siena San Gimignano Overnight Montecatini Terme Enjoy breakfast before heading out to explore the picturesque Chianti region, San Gimignano’s medieval towers, and the Gothic city of Siena, highlighted by the stunning Piazza del Campo. Return to Montecatini Terme for your overnight stay.
Day 6: Pisa Lucca Overnight Montecatini Terme Following breakfast, take a trip to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower and the Square of Miracles, then continue to Lucca to walk its medieval walls and explore the historic center. Return to Montecatini Terme for the night.
Day 7: Trasimeno Lake Perugia & Assisi (Drive to Rome) After breakfast, begin your drive back to Rome, with optional stops at Lake Trasimeno, Perugia’s historic center, and Assisi to visit the famous Basilica of Saint Francis. Continue to Rome for your final overnight stay.
Day 8: Rome Departure Enjoy breakfast and complete your final 50 km drive to Rome Airport, return your rental car, and prepare for departure.
