  Day 1: Rome Arrival Breakfast: Not included. Activities: Arrive at Rome airport, exit the baggage area, and meet your driver for a transfer to your city center hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight: Rome.

  Day 2: Rome and Vatican Museums Breakfast: Included at the hotel. Activities: Transfer on your own to the meeting point for a regular join-in group tour of the Vatican Museums. Begin at Piazza della Repubblica to view the Naiads Fountain, then pass Piazzale Flaminio and Piazza del Popolo with the Egyptian obelisk of Ramses II. Walk along the Vatican City walls to enter the Vatican Museums. A guide will lead the tour through the Gallery of Tapestries and the Gallery of Maps before reaching the Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo’s Last Judgment. The excursion ends with free time to explore St. Peter’s Basilica. Overnight: Rome.

  Day 3: Classical Rome & Imperial Rome Breakfast: Included at the hotel. Activities: Transfer on your own to the meeting point for a join-in group tour. In the morning, enjoy the Classical Rome tour starting at Piazza della Repubblica, followed by a walking tour through the historic center visiting the Trevi Fountain, Column of Marcus Aurelius, Palazzo Montecitorio, the Pantheon, Palazzo Madama, and Piazza Navona. Board a coach past Castel Sant’Angelo to St. Peter’s Square for an exterior overview of the Basilica, followed by free time for lunch. In the afternoon, begin the Imperial Rome tour from Piazza Venezia, walking to Piazza del Campidoglio for views of the Roman Forum. Continue by coach past Circus Maximus and Aventine Hill, stop to admire Michelangelo’s Statue of Moses at San Pietro in Vincoli, and conclude with an inside visit to the Colosseum (entry fee included). Overnight: Rome.

  Day 4: Rome to Florence Breakfast: Included at the hotel. Activities: Transfer on your own to the train station and board a high-speed train to Florence (approximate travel time 1 hour 15 minutes). Arrive in Florence and transfer on your own to your hotel. Enjoy free time for the rest of the day to explore the city. Overnight: Florence.

  Day 5: Florence City Tour Breakfast: Included at the hotel. Activities: Reach meeting point for a walking join-in group tour of Florence. Begin with panoramic views from Piazzale Michelangelo and Fiesole to admire Brunelleschi’s Dome, Palazzo Vecchio, and the surrounding hills. Head into the historic center for a guided visit to the Accademia Gallery to view Michelangelo’s David, Prigioni, San Matteo, and Pietà di Palestrina. Walk through the city center to Piazza del Duomo to view Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery (featuring the Gates of Paradise), and the Florence Cathedral. Enjoy free time for the remainder of the day. Overnight: Florence.

  Day 6: Florence – Pisa Excursion Included at the hotel. Activities: Transfer on your own to the meeting point for a join-in group excursion to Pisa. Walk along the medieval walls through Porta Santa Maria to Piazza dei Miracoli and tour the Cathedral of Pisa. Return to Florence and late afternoon train to Venice. Overnight: Venice.

  Day 7: Venice, Murano, Burano & Torcello Breakfast: Included at the hotel. Activities: Transfer on your own to the meeting point for a group walking tour of Venice starting at St. Mark’s Square. Learn about St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Bell Tower, the Clock Tower, and the Procuratie. Continue to the historical neighborhood of Marco Polo before returning to St. Mark’s Square via the Mercerie shopping street.
  In the afternoon, board a traditional Venetian ferry for a lagoon islands tour. Explore the colorful canals and lace workshops of Burano, and stop in Murano to watch a glassblowing demonstration at a local artisan factory. The tour concludes back near St. Mark’s Square. Overnight: Venice.

  Day 8: Venice Departure Breakfast: Included at the hotel. Activities: Transfer from the nearest point to your hotel to Venice airport or train station. End of services.
