Day 1: Morning arrival and settle into your accommodation. Afternoon your adventure begins. Meet with our local guide who will take you on a nature trail. Take in spectacular views and reach a vineyard. A walk through the and learn the process and cultivation of vine and the production of Sardinian Cannonau. Later you will enjoy a glass of wine and aperitif and dinner that will let you taste traditional Sardinian. Taking in the stillness and beauty of nature of this area. Overnight in a traditional farm stay.
Day 2: Today you will head out to Supramonte and meet with a local shepherd. Discover the tranquil life of a shepherd. He will show you the surrounding area where the goats roam about in total freedom. Discover the “Pinnetti” and their use, you will learn the unique art of Sardinian cheese making. Your time with the shepherd will end with a delicious tasting of cold items all homemade from the shepherd’s family. Accommodation and dinner in a traditional farm stay.
Day 3: Enjoy a wonderful morning in a local farmhouse where you will be take part in a lesson with one of the locals of the area. You will learn how prepare and serve the typical Sardinian fresh pasta. Lean the history and techniques of their typical products and the process in the preparation. Lunch will be with the freshly made pasta in this wonderful quiet country atmosphere. Accommodation and dinner in a traditional farm stay.
Day 4: A Sardinian specialty is their dried sausage and the most common delicacy and the local tradition dating back to ancient times. Before leaving this area of Sardinia you will visit an expert local butcher who will be delighted to share the knowledge of his craft in the different preparation steps of dried sausage making. He will welcome you in his small sausage factory. His love and talent are the secrets of this practice. You will end the tour with a little taste of this specialty. Now it is time to say arrivederci and move on to your next experience in Italy or return home.
