Day 1 – Arrival Verona / Valpolicella Wine Country
Distance: Verona Airport → Valpolicella ≈ 25 km / 30 min- Arrive at Verona Airport. Collect your rental car.
- Short scenic drive into the Valpolicella hills, famous for Amarone wines.
- Afternoon free for relaxation or stroll through local vineyards.
- Included: Wine tasting with local salami and cheeses.
- Overnight: Valpolicella (Hotel Corte Formigar or Foresteria Serego Alighieri)
Day 2 – Explore Verona & Valpolicella
Distance: Valpolicella → Verona ≈ 20 km / 25 min (round-trip ≈ 40 km total)- Drive into Verona’s old town: see the Arena di Verona, Juliet’s Balcony, and Piazza delle Erbe.
- Enjoy dinner at a local osteria and return to your countryside hotel.
- Overnight: Valpolicella (2nd night)
Day 3 – Lake Garda → Venice Inland
Distance: Valpolicella → Sirmione (Lake Garda) ≈ 50 km / 1 hr
Then Sirmione → Venice Inland (Treviso/Mestre area) ≈ 140 km / 2 hr
Total: ~190 km / 3 hr driving- Morning: Explore Sirmione peninsula or Bardolino on Lake Garda.
- Afternoon: Drive east toward the Venice mainland (avoid ZTL zones in Venice city).
- Overnight: Venice Inland (Hotel Park Bolognese or similar)
Day 4 – Treviso & Prosecco Hills → Bassano del Grappa
Distance: Venice Inland → Treviso ≈ 30 km / 35 min
Treviso → Conegliano (Prosecco area) ≈ 30 km / 30 min
Conegliano → Bassano del Grappa ≈ 50 km / 1 hr
Total: ~110 km / 2 hr driving- Discover Treviso’s canals and elegant squares.
- Drive through the Prosecco wine route around Conegliano and Valdobbiadene.
- Continue to Bassano del Grappa, famous for its covered bridge and grappa distilleries.
- Overnight: Bassano del Grappa (Hotel Antica Abbazia or Bonotto)
Day 5 – Bassano → Trento (Dolomitic Foothills)
Distance: 95 km / 1 hr 45 min- Scenic drive north into Trentino.
- Explore Trento’s cathedral square, Buonconsiglio Castle, and alpine atmosphere.
- Overnight: Trento (Hotel Buonconsiglio)
Day 6 – Trento → Vicenza → Venice Inland
Distance: Trento → Vicenza ≈ 105 km / 1 hr 45 min
Vicenza → Venice Inland ≈ 75 km / 1 hr
Total: ~180 km / 2 hr 45 min- Visit Vicenza, city of architect Andrea Palladio; tour a Palladian villa such as La Rotonda.
- Return to Venice Inland for overnight.
- Overnight: Venice Inland (Hotel Park Bolognese or similar)
Day 7 – Venice Lagoon (Optional Day Trip)
Distance: Venice Inland → Venice Tronchetto ≈ 15 km / 25 min- Drive to Tronchetto parking island, then explore Venice by vaporetto (boat).
- Visit St. Mark’s Square, the Rialto Bridge, and artisan workshops of Murano or Burano.
- Return to mainland hotel.
- Overnight: Venice Inland (2nd night)
Day 8 – Departure
Distance: Venice Inland → Verona Airport ≈ 120 km / 1 hr 30 min- Drive back across the Veneto plains.
- Return vehicle and check in for onward flight.
