Cilento offers stunning seaside and is home to the largest natural park in Italy where you can visit the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Certosa di Padula. Unspoiled naturalistic beauties, historical and archaeological sites, secluded coves for swimming, stunning lemon groves and an excellent road system for easy travels. Tuscan Val D’Orcia & Cilento Coast – Updated Itinerary with Distances
Day 1: Arrival in Italy – Transfer to Val d’Orcia
- Pick up rental vehicle at airport.
- Drive to Val d’Orcia countryside Relais.
- Distance: ~200–250 km from Florence Airport (FLR) or ~250–270 km from Rome Airport (FCO), depending on route.
- Check-in, relax, optional visit to a medieval village. Dinner on your own or at Relais restaurant.
- Overnight: Countryside Relais
Day 2: Val d’Orcia – Truffle Hunting & Pienza
- Morning truffle hunting experience at Podere il Casale farm, Pienza.
- Afternoon visit Pienza village.
- Walking distance within the farm/village: ~5 km
- Return to Relais for overnight.
- Overnight: Countryside Relais
Day 3: Val d’Orcia – Brunello Vineyards & Montalcino
- Drive to Le Ripi winery (Montalcino area) for wine tasting and farm tour.
- Distance: ~25 km from Val d’Orcia Relais to Le Ripi.
- Optional visit to Montalcino village.
- Return to Relais (~25 km).

Day 4: Val d’Orcia – Montepulciano & Falconry
- Falconry course in the morning (at or near Relais).
- Visit Cortona village for lunch.
- Distance: ~40 km from Val d’Orcia Relais to Cortona.

- Distance: ~30 km from Cortona to Montepulciano.

Day 5: Drive to Cilento Coast
- Check out and head south to Marina di Camerota.
- Stop at local mozzarella di Bufala cheese factory en route.

Day 6: Cilento Coast – Boat Tour
- Guided boat tour of “Costa degli Infreschi e della Masseta.”
