  Day 1: Arrival in Florence – Montecarlo, Lucca (65 km)

  • Arrive at Florence Airport and retrieve your rental vehicle.
  • Drive approximately 65 km to Montecarlo, Lucca.
  • Check in at Locanda Il Fornello, a charming agriturismo set among vineyards and olive groves.
  • Enjoy your first evening surrounded by Tuscan countryside. Overnight.

  Day 2: Explore Lucca, Pisa, and Surroundings

  • Breakfast at your agriturismo.
  • Drive to explore Lucca (approx. 15 km) and Pisa (approx. 30 km from Lucca).
  • Optional visits: Collodi, Montecatini Terme, or Versilia.
  • Return to your agriturismo for a traditional Tuscan dinner paired with local wines. Overnight.

  Day 3: Montecarlo to San Gimignano (75 km)

  • Breakfast and departure. Drive 75 km along the historic Via Francigena to Agriturismo Castagnolino.
  • Located 2 km from San Gimignano, your agriturismo is surrounded by olive trees and offers panoramic views of the famous towers.
  • Local specialties include extra virgin olive oil and organic saffron. Overnight.

  Day 4: Cooking Class & Volterra Excursion (31 km round-trip)

  • Morning hands-on cooking class using regional ingredients.
  • Enjoy lunch prepared during your class.
  • Afternoon drive 31 km to Volterra, a walled mountaintop town with Etruscan and Roman roots.
  • Return to agriturismo for a relaxing evening. Overnight.

  Day 5: San Gimignano – Siena – Fattoria del Colle (41 km)

  • Breakfast, then drive 41 km to Siena.
  • Explore the Piazza del Campo, Siena Cathedral, and Renaissance palaces.
  • Continue to your next accommodation, Fattoria del Colle, a working winery estate.
  • Dinner at the estate’s Osteria di Donatella, featuring Tuscan specialties paired with estate wines, including Brunello di Montalcino. Overnight.

  Day 6: Cooking Class & Montalcino / Asciano Excursion (100 km total)

  • Morning hands-on cooking class at the estate.
  • Lunch featuring dishes from your class.
  • Afternoon drive to Montalcino and Asciano (total 100 km) to explore historic villages and scenic vistas.
  • Return to Fattoria del Colle for overnight.

  Day 7: Siena – Florence (71 km)

  • Breakfast, then drive 71 km to Florence.
  • Return rental vehicle and check into your hotel.
  • Afternoon at leisure to begin exploring Florence or relax at a café. Overnight.

  Day 8: Florence Walking Tour

  • After breakfast, enjoy a half-day small group walking tour of Florence, including the Accademia Museum to see Michelangelo’s David (headsets provided).
  • Afternoon free for shopping, gelato, or a leisurely stroll along the Arno River. Overnight.

  Day 9: Departure from Florence

  • Breakfast at your hotel.
  • Private transfer to Florence Airport for your departure.
