Highlights
We’ve crafted an 8-day itinerary that offers a wonderful introduction to Puglia—a region where life moves at a gentler pace. This journey highlights the very best of southern Italy, known for its whitewashed hill towns, centuries-old farmland, and vast olive groves filled with trees that have stood for hundreds of years.
Your tour begins and ends in Bari, the region’s bustling capital and a lively port city. From here, you’ll travel into the Itria Valley, home to the iconic whitewashed stone huts known as Trulli. Explore Alberobello and its remarkable Trulli village, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure.
Thanks to Puglia’s slender shape, you are never far from its stunning coastline or breathtaking beaches. Along the way, discover exquisite regional cuisine—olive oil, crisp white wines, capocollo ham, orecchiette pasta, and creamy, irresistible burrata cheese.
While the region is served by trains and buses, exploring Puglia by car is unquestionably the best way to experience it. Driving allows you to uncover the many hidden coves, charming towns, and quiet villages that make Puglia one of Italy’s most captivating southern gems waiting to be explored.
