Meet your guide and begin your walking tour from St. Mark’s Square. Discover this magnificent city, rich in palaces and churches, all connected by a network of canals. As you stroll through vibrant neighborhoods, you’ll be captivated by Venice’s unique charm.
Along the way, you’ll visit the city’s main landmarks, including St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Bell Tower, the Clock Tower, and the Procuratie. Your guide will share the fascinating history behind each of these iconic monuments.
The tour continues to Santa Maria Formosa and then to San Giovanni e Paolo, often referred to as the “Pantheon of Venice.” This beautiful and richly decorated church houses the tombs of many important figures from the Republic of Venice.
You’ll also pass through the area where Marco Polo once lived. The tour concludes along Mercerie Street, a lively shopping thoroughfare connecting Rialto and St. Mark’s Square. Here, you can choose to end your tour and explore the shops at your leisure or return to St. Mark’s Square.
