  Day 1:  Arrival in Athens

  Meet taxi driver and transfer to hotel in Athens. Explore the ancient city center and enjoy your first evening in the Plaka area. Accommodation in Athens- Hotel Jason Inn

  Day 2:  Walk & Dine in Athens

  Athens Walk & Dine tour, self guided. Duration of the tour is about 7 hours in total. The tour starts on Syntagma square. First you meet the Evzones on Syntagma, then you walk through the National Gardens to the Olympic Stadium ‘Kalimarmaro’ where you may follow the audio-tour including a visit to the well-hidden catacombs. Then along the temple of Zeus to the rooftop restaurant of an excellent hotel for a cold starter whilst enjoying views on the Acropolis and the temple of Zeus. Continue along the Dionysos theater and the Acropolis museum and ascend the sacred rock of the Acropolis. Descend into Plaka for our hot starters in a typical traditional Greek tavern. Along the Roman and Greek Agora you walk through the oldest parts of the city to the restaurant in Thission for your main dish in an excellent restaurant with show kitchen. For your desert you have to walk the final short stretch of this interesting trip and come along the Kerameikos to the restored gas factory where you will enjoy your desert. In this area you will find lots of trendy bars and cafes in case you still have energy to continue the day. Your hotel is within walking distance of the last restaurant.   Day 3:  End of program

  Your trip to Athens comes to an end today after breakfast. Departure to the airport or to another destination in Greece.
