On this tour, you’ll be able to experience the delights of Paris’ copious winding boulevards and charming cafes by meandering the picture-perfect city with a local expert, who will imbue you with knowledge as you visit the city’s endless historic landmarks.   Day 1: Paris Arrival
  Independent arrival in Paris. Overnight in Paris. Check in, time to relax balance of day at leisure.  Overnight in the heart of the city.

  Day 2: Discover Paris, Louvre & River Cruise                    
  This Paris walking tour allows you to spend an attraction-filled half day exploring the old heart of Paris under the guidance of a local expert. You’ll meet your guide in front of the fountain at Place Saint-Michel. From there your guide will take you to the site of Notre Dame explaining it’s fascinating 850 years of history, secrets and mysteries. See how this historic structure still stands proud after the recent fire and discover what the future holds for this magnificent building. Your Paris walking tour continues in the picturesque lanes of the Île de la Cite and Latin Quarter, where you’ll see iconic buildings, like the Conciergerie, and learn about some of the historic personalities that strolled these streets before you. Visit the impressive church of St. Germain l’Auxerrois built in the 13th century. Arriving at the crowded entrance to the Louvre, you’ll skip the entrance lines and head straight inside for a full Louvre tour with your expert guide, including all the highlights of the world-famous collection. At the end of the walking tour, you will board a Seine river cruise to enjoy a relaxing ride and enjoy the city from the water. Overnight in Paris. (B)

  Day 3: Versaille
  Today you will explore the magnificent Palace of Versailles with its luxuriant gardens.
  

  King Louis XIV, known as “the Sun” was the creative force of Versailles. He turned Versailles into a sumptuous estate and the symbol of absolute monarchy in the 17th century.
  Your guide will introduce to you the State Apartments with its 8 rooms, the Hall of Mirrors, the King and Queens’ apartments and since July 2006 some new rooms recently renovated, the Royal Chapel and the Royal Opera Opera, then you will explore the Gardens and the Park. Overnight in Paris. (B)

  Day 4: Wine and Cheese France Workshop
  When thinking of France, you cannot avoid thinking to wines and cheese! Today, join a small group workshop to explore the world of French cheese and wine as we taste our way around France. We’ll start our workshop with a visit to the historic Ile Saint Louis just minutes from the school, where our favourite local ‘fromager affineur’ awaits. There, your chef will help you navigate a classic Fromagerie in France and you’ll select some fantastic fromages to enjoy with wine back at the school. You will learn all about…

  • The history of cheese- and wine-making in the different regions of France
  • The importance of French food labels and how to understand them
  • Tasting and serving tips for a variety of wines and cheeses

  The wonderful world of cheese and wine pairings, and what to look for when pairing them with other foods.
  During this Tour and Tasting, you’ll savour a selection of 8-12* of France’s finest cheeses! Naturally, your Fromage adventure will be accompanied by wines from various regions in France. We wouldn’t dream of having a Fromage and Wine experience without fresh baguettes, so expect plenty of accompaniments from our favourite local boulangerie. Overnight in Paris.
