    Day 1: Bordeaux
    Arrival in Bordeaux in the late morning. Check into our hotel and early afternoon enjoy Gourmet excursion to discover the authentic flavours of Bordeaux . Dinner and overnight in Bordeaux

    Day 2: St. Emilion 
    After breakfast depart to take a guided tour Saint Emilion and its underground monuments: the hermitage of Emilion, the Trinity Chapel and its medieval paintings, the catacombs as well as the underground church. Visit a local wine estate and enjoy a “wine grower” snack with wines of the estate • Lunch (free or included as you wish)
    Return to Bordeaux to visit the Cité du Vin. Embark on a sensory adventure to discover the cultures and civilisations of wine. Dinner and overnight in Bordeaux

    Day 3: Arcachon Basin
    After breakfast  today we enjoy visiting and exploring the Pilat Dune, known for its rare dimensions and famous for the beauty and diversity of its natural environment. In the late morning, enjoy a gourmet break in a “oyster village” and taste oysters. Time for lunch (free or included as you wish) • Enjoy a cruise on the Arcachon Basin with a view over the « cabanes techanquées » (cabins on stilts), the Cap Ferret, the « Banc d’Arguin » and the Pilat Dune
    (Optional – for small groups only: sail onboard a « pinasse », typical boat, with a quick stop on the Banc d’Arguin)
    Dinner and overnight in Bordeaux

    Day 4: The Medoc
    After breakfast today we travel to the north end of the Medoc area. Enjoy a cruise on the Gironde estuary – choices  available:
    A four hour cruise that includes a stop in the port of Meschers-sur-Gironde and a guided tour of the caves of Régulus.
    Or
    The “grand tour” of the estuary via the lighthouse of Cordouan, the « Devil’s bridge », Saint-Palais-sur- Mer, the « pointe de Suzac » and the limestone cliffs of Meschers-sur-Gironde famous for its troglodyte caves. • Lunch (free or included as you wish).  On your way back visit of a Medoc wine estate with tasting.  Dinner and overnight in Bordeaux

    Day 5:  Bassins de Lumiere or Blaye
    After breakfast you have choice on how you spend your day.  Choose betwee
    Transfer to Blaye and enjoy a guided tour of th ecitadel designed by Vauban and of its undergrounds.
    In Bordeaux, visit the « Bassins de Lumière », a new attraction set up in the basins of the submarine base and presenting as the biggest digital art centre in the world. • Lunch (free or included as you wish).
