In several dining temples, the never-ending creativity of the chefs and their unique seasoning flavor original dishes, which are capable of satisfying and surprising even the most demanding palate.

Day 1: Mexico City arrival
Arrival at Mexico City international airport and meet and greet by your English-speaking guide. Luggage handling at the airport and transfer by bus with air-conditioning and sound system to the hotel of your choice.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a visit of the Historical Center: beautiful baroque buildings, including the Cathedral and the National Palace, surround the Zócalo or Constitution Square. The Cathedral, the largest of Mexico and an impressive example of colonial architecture in Latin America, is built over the remains of the biggest Aztec temple. Admire murals painted by Diego Rivera in the National Palace (closed on Mondays), headquarter of the Presidency of Mexico. One of the main and most recently discovered attractions is the Templo Mayor, the great temple of the Aztec capital (panoramic visit only).
At noon, start an extraordinary walking tour through Mexico City’s historical center while discovering the country’s reputed cuisine in several surprising and exotic food stops. A gastronomic adventure through the traditional flavors of Mexico awaits you: from pre-Hispanic food to contemporary culinary dishes. Explore a typical Mexican market with a peculiar selection, drink in a typical cantina and be delighted with street food, among others!
Return to your hotel in the evening at leisure if you are still hungry dinner on your own. Overnight.Day 3: Mexico City and Teotihuacán
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Teotihuacán, the most important archeological site in the Valley of Mexico. Upon arrival, visit of the archaeological site where the Teotihuacán civilization flourished between the 1st and 6th century AD. Their influence was so important, that it appears to have been radiated to Tikal as we find traces of this influence in the heart of the Mayan civilization. Burned in the 8th century AD, Teotihuacan was already a great field of ruins when the Aztecs found it. Due to its size, they attributed its construction to gods or giants. The site has three large constructions distributed around the called “Avenue of the Dead”. The Pyramid of the Sun is the most important of these three constructions. The Pyramid of the Moon, more modest, is located at the north end of the “Avenue of the Dead”. The Citadel, like all buildings on the site, reflects not only the art of its architectural but also the astronomical knowledge of its builders. Continue for lunch at the restaurant Gran Teocalli. While here, receive instructions on how to prepare a Guacamole sauce out of chilis, green tomatoes, avocados and many other spices. Mostly accompanying tacos, tortas and other dishes (mainly based on red meat), sometimes it is also served as a snack or a main dish itself!
Also prepare your own tortillas out of corn dough and learn everything about the principal component of many Mexican dishes. For example: tacos, totopos, tostadas, enchiladas, enfrijoladas, entomatadas, tortilla soup, quesadillas, chalupas, flautas, burritos, tacos dorados, sincronizadas and chilaquiles – just to name a few typical delights that can be prepared during this hands-on workshop. In the afternoon, stop by a cooperative food factory in the small town of San Martín de las Pirámides. Here they produce jam, honey, candy and spicy sauces from the Nopal-fruits “Tuna” and “Xoconoxtle”. Continue to an obsidian workshop where you can watch how the raw material is processed to shape unique pieces of regional handicrafts. Also taste a local liquor called “pulque”, won from the Agave plant and get to know the multiple purposes of the same plant! Return to Mexico City and in the evening, transfer to the restaurant “Nueve Nueve” for dinner. Found in the heart of the Colonia Roma, the city’s trendiest neighborhood in recent times, this restaurant combines the design of the young Mexican architect Javier Sordo de Haro and the original architecture of this manor, dating from the early 20th century. This Mexican bistrot offers a menu based on dishes from different regions in Mexico, prepared by Mexican chefs Luis Durán and Mónica Beteta. Return to your hotel and overnight.Day 4: Mexico City
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the south of the city, to visit the colonial neighborhood of Coyoacán, which was formed during the 18th and 19th centuries, the residential area of Mexico where high society used to live in beautiful haciendas at the countryside. Visit the Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as “La Casa Azul” (The Blue House – closed on Mondays), where the most renowned Latin American artist, was born, lived, and took her last breath. Lunch at the restaurant “Los Danzantes”, located in the heart of Coyoacán, offering traditional Mexican food with new forms and combinations. In the afternoon, enjoy an idyllic boat ride on a typical “Trajinera” along the pre-Hispanic canals of Xochimilco, Mexico City’s Floating Gardens. Xochimilco was the place where the Toltecs took refuge during the fall of Tula. From ancestral times, its inhabitants have dedicated themselves to agriculture. In the evening, transfer to the restaurant “Dulce Patria” for dinner. In this culinary experience, the festive character of Dulce Patria invite us to taste wonderful cerviches, tostadas, colorful stews, Mexican sodas, fresh waters topped with flowers, decorative gelatins, spiced breads, served in a special blend of porcelain and blue pewter; blue as the cosmos full of luminous stars and delicious to the palate. Its wine list reflects the heyday of Mexican winemaking. Return to your hotel and overnight.Day 5: Mexico City Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Mexico City airport.
