Day 1: San José Arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport is followed by a representative meet-and-greet and transfer to the hotel. During check-in, you will receive detailed information regarding your upcoming trip before spending the night at the Barceló San José Palacio. All airport transfers, guide service, and accommodation taxes are included.
Day 2: Doka Coffee Plantation / Poás Volcano / La Paz / Arenal Depart early toward the Doka Coffee Plantation to explore the cultivation, harvesting, processing, and roasting of Costa Rican coffee, with an opportunity to buy fresh beans on-site. Next, head into Poás Volcano National Park—passing strawberry greenhouses and flower farms—to view the active crater, its sulfur fumaroles, and surrounding cloud forest ecosystems. Continue to La Paz Waterfall Gardens for a walk down the forest waterfall trails and visits to the hummingbird gallery, serpentarium, birdhouse, butterfly farm, and frog exhibit. The day finishes with a transfer to La Fortuna for an overnight stay at Arenal Paraíso Resort & Spa. This day includes guide service, all transfers, entry fees for the scheduled excursions, hotel taxes, breakfast, and lunch.
Day 3: Arenal The morning features a canopy-level trek across the Arenal Hanging Bridges, offering elevated views of the rainforest and Arenal Volcano. In the afternoon, take a guided hike along the Los Tucanes trail in Arenal Volcano National Park to cross the hardened lava fields formed during the major 1968 eruption. Spend a second night at Arenal Paraíso Resort & Spa. Included in this day are guide service, guided excursions with park fees, transfers, hotel taxes, and breakfast.
Day 4: Arenal / Pacific Coast Depart the Arenal region on a transfer heading toward the Pacific coast. Check into your seaside resort and spend the rest of the day relaxing by the ocean. Transfer services, coastal accommodation, hotel taxes, and breakfast are included.
Day 5: Pacific Coast Enjoy a full free day for beach relaxation, swimming, or local independent exploring along the coastline. Your resort stay, accommodation taxes, and breakfast are included.
Day 6: Pacific Coast Spend another unstructured day lounging by the pool or participating in optional local water activities. Your resort stay, accommodation taxes, and breakfast are included.
Day 7: Pacific Coast Take advantage of a free day to explore nearby coastal towns, sample local seafood, or rest on the beach. Your resort stay, accommodation taxes, and breakfast are included.
Day 8: Pacific Coast Enjoy an open schedule dedicated to sunbathing, ocean views, and leisure time at your resort. Your resort stay, accommodation taxes, and breakfast are included.
Day 9: Pacific Coast Spend your final full day on the coast unwinding by the water or taking in a Pacific sunset. Your resort stay, accommodation taxes, and breakfast are included.
Day 10: San José Complete your trip with a scheduled transfer, taking you either onward to your next coastal destination or back to San José for your flight home. Included on this final day are your ground transfer, hotel taxes, and breakfast.
