Itinerary
Day 1 Lima—Arrive in Lima. Transfer to selected hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 Lima/Arequipa—Morning Scheduled transfer to airport, flight to Arequipa. Transfer to hotel. and guided tour of Arequipa: Carmen Alto Lookout, with a wonderful view point of the Chilina Valley; Yanahuara Lookout, composed of a series of sillar stone arches with a view of Arequipa City and Misti volcano; Saint Lazarus neighborhood; Santa Catalina Convent; Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral and Jesuit Church of La Compañía. Return to the hotel.
Day 3 Arequipa/Colca—After breakfast, depart to the distric of Yura, passing by Mount Chachani and ton to the National Reserve of Pampa Cañahuas where groups of vicuñas, llamas, alpacas can be seen. Contineu through Vizcachani and Pampas of Toccra. Continue around the Chucura crater, Patapampa Pass at 4,800 m.s.l. ( 16,076 ft) and the Andes Lookout. View of the volcanoes overlooking Arequipa. Lunch is provided at Chivay. Return to hotel Evening visit to La Calera hot Springs. Dinner with folkloric show.
Day 4 Colca/Puno —After breakfast, bus ride to Cruz del Cóndor. Here you will observe the condors in their skillful flight. Returning to Chivay for lunch passing through varopis villages and the Viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico.
Afternoon on to Puno with a detour in Patahuasi. passing forests, lagoons with a great variety of birds and small Andean communities. Arrive Puno.
Day 5 Puno—Full day excursion to Taquille Island. On the way back stop at the floating islands of the Uros. Lunch included.
Day 6 Puno/Cusco—Leave by regular bus service to Cusco. Stopovers at Racchi and Andahuaylillas Evening arrive Cusco Hotel. Lunch included.
Day 7 Cusco—Morning at leisure. Afternoon city tour includes surrounding ruins.
Day 8 Cusco/Machu Pichu—Early transfer to the station for a 3 hour train ride to the Lost City of the Incas, Machu Pichu. Upon arrival, guided tour of the citadel. Designated Time Return to Cusco. Lunch included.
Day 9 Cusco/Lima—Transfer to the airport for flight to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Afternoon visiting the important points of the city. Visit the Gold Museum.
Day 10 Homebound Flight—Departure hotel to airport transfer.
