This trip includes the Miraflores Park Hotel in Peru’s capital, Lima, as well as a tour of Cuzco, a 3 night Aqua Expedition Amazon luxury cruise. Optional: A fantastic ride on the Hiram Bingham Train through the Andes. A full 11 days / 10 nights visiting Lima, Amazon jungle, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco, Paracas, Nazca.
Day 1: LIMA Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 2: LIMA Breakfast. Guided tour that includes visits to the main Colonial attractions such as the Main Square with the Cathedral, San Francisco Convent and many elegant buildings which have being restored. Continue to Lima’s residential areas: San Isidro with its Olive Grove, Country Club and Golf course and Miraflores with its Central Park, City Hall and Main shopping streets such as Larco Avenue. Vist also the Peruvian Gold Museum, includes pre-Columbian gold, silver and bronze, ceramics, weavings, mummies, etc. As well a remarkable arms collections from the Spanish colonial times. Lunch at a local Restaurant with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. In the evening – enjoy a visit to the Magic Water Circuit Park of Lima, a wonderful collection of 13 ornamental, cybernetic and interactive fountains where water, music, light, images and laser effects combine in perfect union and harmony to present us with a unique show full of magic, excitement and fantasy. Guiness Book of World Records names this the “world´s largest fountain in a public park”. Return to the hotel.
Day 3: LIMA / IQUITOS Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Fly to Iquitos. Arrival into Iquitos embark and meet cruise staff of your Aqua Expedition’s 3 night Amazon River luxury cruise on the Aria Amazon. Begins in the remote colonial city of Iquitos, and transports guests in exceptional comfort deep into the Amazon rainforest, along the Ucayali River, the Amazon’s largest tributary, as well as other neighboring rivers (the Yarapa and Dorado), each one rich in vibrant wildlife and thriving rainforests. Go fishing for the many species of Amazon fish, explore into the dense jungle on foot in search of three-toed sloths, toucans, macaws then come back to the comfort of our skiffs to meet taricaya turtles in their natural habitat and hunt for endangered pink dolphins, unique to the Amazon, at play. As the Aria Amazon journeys towards the union of the Ucayali and the Marañon Rivers, considered the birthplace of the Amazon, learn from our experienced, English speaking naturalist guides about the diverse Amazon wildlife and birds of the Pacaya- Samiria National Reserve.
Day 4: IQUITOS Jungle excursion aboard the Aria Cruise.

Day 6: IQUITOS / LIMA Activities on board. At the proper time, transfer to the airport. Fly to Lima. Reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 7: LIMA / CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY / AGUAS CALIENTES Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco, meet and greet and transfer to the Sacred Valley. The picturesque landscape of the Urubamba Valley to the town of Pisac, where you will enjoy some time at the colorful market of Pisac. Time to visit the stands of local handicrafts. You will have opportunities to meet the local people selling their merchandise. Leaving Pisac you will continue to the town of Ollantaytambo where you will climb to the ruins of an Inca fortress resting on a hilltop. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. Transfer to Ollanta train station and departure to Aguas Calientes. A one and a half hour train journey through the Sacred Valley. The single line track hugs the right side of the canyon next to the boulder-strewn, roaring Urubamba River. Arrive at the small town of Aguas Calientes. Check inn at your hotel. Dinner is included.Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
Day 8: AGUAS CALIENTES / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO Breakfast. Early in the morning departure to Machu Picchu. A 30-minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu, an Inca city with a maze of fine stone temples, houses and fountains, spectacularly situated on a ridge between two peaks. Hidden by dense vegetation when Hiram Bingham discovered it in 1911. We include a guided tour. For those more intrepids, we suggest to climb Wayna Picchu Mountain. (Guide is not included / the climb to Huayna Picchu is restricted to only 400 people per day in two groups of 200) In the afternoon, departure to Cusco on Vistadome train. Arrival in Cusco and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 9: CUSCO Breakfast. Free morning. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of Cusco, The tour includes highlights of the Colonial city such as the Cathedral, the Q’oricancha – an amazing example of the fusion of Incan and Western cultures that was one of the most important temples in the Empire of Incas – the Plaza de Armas and visit to the Inca ruins of Tambomachay, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Sacsayhuaman’s gigantic zigzag-walled fortress. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 10: CUSCO / LIMA / PARACAS Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to board your flight back to Lima. Arrival in Lima, meet at the airport and departure to Paracas. We will travel south along the Pan-American Highway for four hours land journey. Transfer to the local airport for your flight over the famous and mysterious Nazca Lines and Geogliphs. It is only possible to admire these enigmatic pre-Inca figures from the air. The purpose for which these animal, humanoid and geometric drawings, made is still unknown. Arrive hotel located on Paracas Bay. Overnight in Paracas.
Day 11: PARACAS / LIMA / OUT Breakfast. At 08:00 – Depart for the 2-hour boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands. The islands are located 20 km. from the coast and are part of the Paracas National Reserve. On the way to the islands, we will observe the “Candelabra”, an enormous drawing in one of the biggest dunes of the reserve that, were probably made by the ancient Incas. Once at the Ballestas Islands we will see fauna in their natural habitat, including sea lions, Humboldt penguins and various bird species. Private transport to the airport in Lima for your onward flight (land journey takes 5 hours approximately). END OF OUR SERVICES
