Highlights
We have structured an 8-day itinerary that is a fabulous introduction to Puglia. A region where life is taken at a slower pace. This itinerary covers the best that this part of Italy offers. Known for whitewashed hill towns, centuries old farmland, olive groves with olive trees that have stood firm for hundreds of years. Tour stars and ends in Bari the capital, a busy port town. Travel towards the Itria Valley, home of the whitewashed stoned huts known as Trulli. Visit Alberobello and it’s Trulli village. Due to the slender shape of Puglia you are never far from it’s stunning coastline and breathtaking beaches. Taste exquisite food equal to any in Italy such as olive oil, white wine, capocollo ham, orecchiette, a pasta traditional to Puglia and delicious Burrata, creamy, mouthwatering cheese. There are trains and busses but crossing the region by car is the best option as you won’t miss many of the small coves, towns and villages that make Puglia Italy’s Southern Gem to be discovered.
