Excursions in the Land of Chianti's Wine


An opportunity to relax in the heart of the Tuscany countryside in the Chianti Classico wine producing area. Green hills, Cypress Trees and all around rows of grape vines and olive groves from which they extract the well known extra virgin olive oil. Included in the tours are a visit to a place of historic or artistic interest and a visit to one of the wine cellars to sample their high quality produce. Excursion to Lucca


This visit to the elegant and refined Lucca, a magnificent city of art, begins with a delightful walk along the famous 16th century walls that enclose the old centre of the city under the shadow of tall trees. There are also visits to the medieval Church of San Frediano, with its large mosaic in a 13th century facade; the amazing Piazza Anfiteatro, modeled on the ruins of the 2nd century Roman Amphitheater; the Torre Guinigi, the Cathedral of San Martino, the characteristic antiquarian road, and the Church of San Michele in Foro.

The guided visit ends in the historic centre with the house where the musician and composer Giacomo Puccini was born. The house contains objects that once belonged to the great man, such as the piano with which "Turandot" was composed. After lunch, around 10 km from Lucca you will return to the splendid Villas in the area immediately surrounding the city. These villas were the summer residences of Lucca's most important noble families and distinguished foreign guests: Villa Torrigiani, with its rich apartments and wonderful grounds, and the splendid gardens of Villa Mansi, built by the well-known architect F. Juvarra.

Florence in the Morning


Departure by coach for Piazzale Michelangelo, the panoramic terrace with a splendid view over Florence. Short stop. The tour continues with a visit of the 15th century "Palazzo Pitti"* one of the most beautiful palace in Europe, built for the Pitti family and the last residence of the Medici family. Inside visit to the celebrated "Palatine Gallery," a museum of painting containing some of the most important works of Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, Rubens, Murillo, Velasquez etc…

At this point we have the most typical part of the visit with a short walk, still accompanied by your guide through Florence's narrow cobbled street. We will visit the Cathedral, with the marvelous Dome by Brunelleschi and the Baptistery with the famous gates of paradise. The visit will end at 12.30 approx. in the Cathedral area.

Pisa Half Day


After one and an half hours drive through the green countryside of Tuscany we arrive in the city of PISA, one of the famous four marine republics. Here you can admire one of the loveliest architectural complexes in the world. The Piazza dei Miracoli is where the Learning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery are situated. The visit ends at approximately 17.30 when you will be driven back to Florence

Siena and San Gimignano


An opportunity to see two of the loveliest towns in Tuscany. The journey of just over one hour takes us through the Chianti Countryside. There will be a stop with free time in SAN GIMIGNANO that is famous for its medieval towers and which affords a magnificent view from its rock top overlooking the valley. We then continue our journey on to Siena where there will be a tour with the local guide and then free time for lunch. (not included.) Here you can admire the marvelous Cathedral, the unique fan shaped square and majestic Palazzo Cumunale.

Visit Florence in the Afternoon


Departure by bus for a brief excursion to Fiesole, the picturesque hill village overlooking Florence and the Arno Valley. The journey takes 10 to 15 minutes. After a short stop in Fiesole we continue onto the Franciscan church of Santa Croce with the tombs of Galileo, Michelangelo, Machiavelli and Rossini. After the visit, the bus will leave us a few minutes walk away from the famous Accademia delle Belle Arti*, where together with your guide, you can admire one of the most famous works of art in the world, the David of Michelangelo. At the end of the visit, those who wish can remain inside the museum otherwise you will be taken back, by bus, to your departure point.
