Itinerary
Day 1
- Arrival Turin Airport and meet your tour leader.
- Welcome drink and check in to your hotel.
Day 2
- After breakfast city tour of Turin, the region’s political center and the coffee capital boasting Lavazza.
- Lunch on your own.
- Afternoon visit to a chocolate laboratory.
- Time at leisure and dinner at the hotel.
Day 3
- After breakfast departure for Pessione di Chieri and visit the "Martini & Rossi Oenological Museum"
- Continue on to Asti. After the guided visit, time for leisure and lunch on your own.
- Afternoon trip to Alba, where the White Truffle Fesitval is held. Dinner and overnight in a local country inn.
Day 4
- After breakfast departure for Barolo. Discover King Nebbiolo and his court. Guided visit of the Marchesi Di Barolo wine cellar with wine tasting. Visit the Counts Falletti’ Castle. Free time and lunch in Barolo. You can visit the well known ‘Enoteca Regionale Del Barolo’ - (Regional Wine Library).
- Afternoon visit to the hamlet of La Morra and the Municipality Wine Consortium.
- Continue on to Grinzane Cavour. Guided tour of the Cavour’s Castle. Don’t miss a visit upstairs in the Folk Museum and on the ground floor of the ‘Piemonte’s Regional Enoteca’.
- Departure for Alba, dinner in a local restaurant and overnight in the country inn.
Day 5
- After breakfast departure for Canelli. Visit the heart of the Moscato vineyard and go on a guided tour in the ‘Underground Wine Cathedrals’ in Calnelli. Enjoy your wine tasting and lunch with local specialities, drink the red Dolcetto D’Alba and the Moscato Di Canelli.
- Afternoon visit to the spa resort of Acqui Terme - famous for its Piazza Bollente - hot water spring.
- Return to your country inn and evening at leisure.
Day 6
- After breakfast departure for Barbaresco and visit Cisa Asinari Marchesi Di Gresy Estate with the oenologist and guided wine tasting.
- Time for leisure and visit the "Enoteca Regionale Del Barbaresco" - (Regional Wine Library). Lunch on your own.
- Afternoon departure for Tuscany. Visit the medieval village of Monteriggiono. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7
- After breakfast departure for San Gimignano and guided visit.
- Noon departure to a local farm, lunch and local wine tasting of "Vernaccid" Gimignano. A rare oppotunity! Visit a saffran field and taste a local Tuscon focaccia.
- Afternoon trip to Castellina in Chianti and visit the Castellare di Castellina Estate with wine tasting.
- Return to Monteriggioni for overnight. Time for leisure and dinner on your own.
Day 8
- After breakfast departure for Montalcino. Visit the Altesino Estate, guided visit of the wine cellars and wine tasting. Lunch with typical products. Afternoon visit of Montalcino.
- Return to hotel and time for leisure.
- Late afternoon departure for Siena and guided visit of this beautiful medieval town. Spend the evening enjoying this magnificent piazza and dine on your own in one of the magnificent local restaurants.
- Return to hotel and overnight.
Day 9
- After breakfast departure for Florence then guided visit and farewell lunch in a characteristic Florentine Trattoria.
- Check in to your hotel and go exploring the city. Enjoy your last magical evening in the heart of the Renaissance area.
Day 10
- After breakfast transfer to Florence airport and departure for home.
