Sorrento Cooking School




One of the many fascinating aspects of travelling to a foreign Country is undoubtedly experiencing the local cuisine. In Italy this is even more interesting since each of the 20 Italian Regions have a well defined culinary tradition based on local natural products and on different ways of preparing food according to local taste and traditions. In Campania, particularly in Sorrento, the local cuisine has retained its tradition of simple and quick preparation without too much sophistication. The brand new Sorrento Cooking School takes place within the holiday Resort Giardino delle Esperidi situated in Sant’Agnello, 1 km from the city centre of Sorrento and only a few steps away from the sea and major local attractions. The resort offers “ hands – on“ cooking classes that are conducted in English and can be done either in the morning or in the afternoon. Each cooking lesson lasts approximately 3 hours and is followed by either lunch or dinner based on the lesson. The menus are composed of: appetizer, first course (generally gnocchi), main course (generally fresh fish) and dessert. All the meals at the school are accompanied by suitable local wines and mineral water. All Chefs have excellent experience. Most of them have worked for famous Restaurants throughout Italy and abroad. Some of them are members of the International Culinary Associations (ICAP).

The School is located within the Gardens of Esperidi of Raffaella D’Esposito and the resort area of the “Penisola Sorrentina”. It is only a short distance from the sea and Sorrento’s city centre. It is surrounded by beautiful lemon and orange groves. Located near the school are bungalows, chalets and residences that give a cultural ambiance to the surroundings.

The Cooking School includes a cooking area, a tasting area used to sample the dishes prepared during the lesson, a large dining area, and a small store where it is possible to purchase typical local products.





Itinerary


Day 1
  • Arrival at Naples Airport. Transfer to your Hotel in Sorrento, check-in, and welcome dinner.


Day 2
  • After breakfast transfer to your first Sorrento Cooking School lesson. At lunch you will enjoy your creations! Transfer to your hotel and dinner to follow at one of Sorrento’s leading restaurants.

Day 3
  • After breakfast transfer to your second cooking lesson at the Sorrento Cooking School. Followed by lunch sampling your your delicious creation of the day. Return transfer to your hotel. Dinner will be at one of Sorrento’s leading restaurants.


Day 4
  • Breakfast at your hotel. Private transfer to Pompeii, guided tour to discover the sites and ruins of this ancient Roman resort town. Return transfer to your hotel.


Day 5
  • After breakfast transfer to your Sorrento Cooking School lesson. At lunch you will enjoy your creations! Visit a mozzarella cheese factory and sample their delicious cheese. Transfer to your hotel.


Day 6
  • After breakfast transfer to your second cooking lesson at the Sorrento Cooking School. Followed by lunch sampling your your delicious creation of the day. Return transfer to your hotel. Visit a limoncello liquor factory and sample some of their products. Transfer to your hotel.


Day 7
  • Breakfast at your hotel. Experience your final tour, a full day adventure with your guide to the romantic Island of Capri! Visit the island’s lush gardens and all their unique sites, lunch included. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to stroll along and enjoy the scenery of this lovely island.


Day 8
  • After breakfast, transfer to Naples Airport for onward journey......
