Cooking Experience in Umbria




Enjoy Umbria, the green heart of Italy, a land of colourful landscapes which are especially beautiful in autumn, when vineyards become yellow and red, or in spring with its spectacular blooming flowers. This tour offers the chance to taste Umbrian traditional and creative cooking and outstanding products such as extra virgin olive oil, truffles, "pecorino" cheese, salami and cured meats, accompanied by the renowned Umbrian wines including the Sagrantino red wine, which won Italy's award for the best wine of 1998. You also have the opportunity to learn Umbrian history and folklore and to experience the traditional ceramic art, textile art, wood and wrought iron.


Itinerary

  • Possiblity to visit Assisi, Spello, Perugia, Montefalco and Bevagna along the "Sagrantino wine route", Todi and Orvieto - splendid medieval little towns, fine frescoes by Giotto, Cimabue and Pinturicchio - a wine museum, Marmore waterfalls and other Umbrian interesting towns
  • Accommodation at relaxing luxury hotel
  • Hands-on cooking class at the hotel
  • All meals included, delicious refined and typical dinners with Italian and local specialties, D.O.C. wiens included at dinner

  • 4 nights with breakfast buffet in a 4 star charming hotel/historical villa in Montefalco

In case of 6/8 persons price is based on car type Ford Transit Combo or Fiat Ducato with 9 seats and air-conditioning. Car pick up in Perugia or in other Italian cities on request.
