In Villa Casafrassi - Siena




An 18th century villa located in a panoramic area in the heart of Chianti between Siena and Castellina in Chianti. Today, Casafrassi has been restored in its original Tuscan style as an attractive four star hotel. Casafrassi is 10 km. from Siena and within easy reach of the other important parts of Tuscany, such as San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa, Cortona, etc. Casafrassi is able to offer you a complete and original holiday.

As far as good cuisine is concerned, Tuscany is one of the best regions in the world thanks to its traditional gastronomy and the high quality of its food. The Tuscan cuisine has produced some of the best restuarants all over the world. The chef Marina Margiacchi and her assistant Anna Evelina Pruneti will teach their culinary arts, and secrets of Tusacny. The adventures of cooking right in the kitchen will teach you to reproduce these gastronomical gems and impress your friends back home.

After every lesson guests can then enjoy the dishes as soon as they are ready.


Lesson Program

Day 1
  • After arrival enjoy a welcome cocktail.

Day 2
  • After breakfast enjoy your free time until lunch.
  • Afternoon wine tasting with winemaker Giovanni Vidali.

Day 3
  • Cooking class--“The Tuscan appetizer and soup".
  • Afternoon tour to Siena.
  • Dinner at Cantina in Piazza, wine bar with the tasting of 5 great Italian wines.

Day 4
  • Cooking class--"The art of cooking first courses; pasta and ragu”. Lunch based on the lesson.
  • Afternoon visit to San Giminano, wine tasting of the famed Vernaccia wine.

Day 5
  • Guided morning market shopping in Siena; explore the cheese, fish and vegetables stalls
  • Return to hotel (11 am) for class on vegetables.
  • Wine tasting trip to Casato Prime Donne in Montalcino.

Day 6
  • Breakfast, followed by lesson on meats.
  • Excursion to beautiful Florence, free afternoon for shopping and sightseeing.

Day 7
  • Cooking class--"Preparation of a complete meal".
  • Afternoon wine tasting tour to winery Castle Badia a Coltibuono and shopping.
  • Gala dinner at the hotel with live Italian music.
