On foot in the forests of Casentino. Hiking tour in the uncontaminated world of the Casentino forests, which became a national park a few years ago. This is a tour for all those who wish to pass a day in one of the most uncontaminated natural environments, far from everyday stresses. Itinerary

  • We leave from Florence and transfer to the Calla pass, on the border with the Emilia-Romagna region
  • By following the “00” hiking path along the ridge you will reach Poggio Scali skirting the closed reservation of Sasso Fratino. Poggio Scali is located at an altitude of 1,520 m and offers one of the most beautiful views of the Apennine mountains
  • Your next stop is the Camaldoli Monastery (visit of the hermitage)
  • Lunch is in Camaldoli, 3 km further down and return to Florence
