Walking in Cinque Terre





An early start and a very full day of hiking the Cinque terre - just sun, sea, rocks, wine and pure unadulterated Italy! The area is on the Unesco’s list of world Heritage sites.


Itinerary

  • The tour starts from your hotel (transfer can be by train or by car)
  • Once in La Spezia we transfer by train to Vernazza with its towers, the steep and narrow alleyways that descend to the natural harbour in a spectacular bay
  • Following the hiking path number 2 you will visit Corniglia, Manarola (a medieval village perched on an outcrop) and Riomaggiore, which are linked by the splendid “Via dell’Amore”, a wonderful walk cut in the rocks along the sea cliffs
  • Light lunch in Riomaggiore, time at leisure
  • Train back to La Spezia (6 minutes ride)
  • Transfer back to Florence
